This is a true workshop—instruction AND hands-on learning.
We’ll cover these topics and more:
- Learn to identify activities as “value-adding” or “NON value-adding.
- Practice working as a team to improve airplane production.
- Understand the “8 Wastes” in operations.
- How flow works and how to improve it.
- Improve productivity with “parts presentation.”
- How to organize work areas for high productivity and reliability
- What you will see on a shop tour at a Lean company—and what you WON’T see.
- A system to involve EVERYONE in continuous improvement.
- The role of “standards” to capture and preserve improvements made by workers.
- The power of a short daily team meeting
- “Kanbans:” An easy way to keeps stocked with parts, materials, and finished goods.
- The amazing ways Lean fits the Christian faith.
- How Lean works with job-shops and with low-volume, high-mix production.
Registration opens mid-June, 2025
Each participating company gets a binder filled with teaching notes and starter-documents. These are designed to get you going on Lean when you get back to your business. Registration fee is expected to be $650 for the 1st person from a company, with a discount for additional people from the same company. Includes coffee and lunch.
